Sitka’s journey from their initial foray into waterfowl gear to the creation of the Equinox Turkey Vest showcases their relentless pursuit of improvement, and this vest is a testament to that progress. The brand’s evolution is evident in this innovative turkey vest, which I found to excel in multiple areas. Although it leans towards the smaller, more minimalist side for my hunting preferences, the innovation it brings, especially the fully adjustable cam-lock system that ensures a precise vertical fit, is impressive. The vest features an array of pockets, strategically placed for ergonomic access. Despite my preference for zippers due to concerns about magnetic closures accidentally opening, these closures offer quick access.

The vest’s clamshell pockets are a dream for turkey hunters, ergonomically placed and designed to snugly secure your calls, keeping them dry and silent as you navigate the terrain. My initial worries about the magnetic closures were unfounded, as they have proven to be both silent and secure throughout a rigorous season of hunting, without a single unintended opening.
