Mark Raycroft has spent the past 30 years traversing the continent during his career as a professional wildlife photographer, biologist, and author. Mark’s recent book “MOOSE: Crowned Giant of the Northern Wilderness” won 1st place from the Outdoor Writers of Canada. Mark has been a Deer and North American Big-Game hunter his entire life. He believes that if one includes meat in their diet, the best route from field to table is harvesting one’s own food, fostering the respect and appreciation that comes with that ownership. Award-winning author, Brian R. Kightlinger, is an avid outdoorsman, middle school social studies teacher, and official whitetail deer scorer from Northwest Pennsylvania. He has had a passion for everything outdoors since his youth. Brian enjoys shooting archery and competing in 3D archery competitions. He loves talking about whitetail deer, turkey, and exotics and meeting others with the same passion.3 Articles


Megan Plete Postol is an award-winning outdoor journalist covering hunting, angling, conservation, environmental issues, and outdoor news. She lives near the base of the Adirondack Mountains, where she loves to fish, hike, kayak, camp, snowshoe, and hunt. Her work has appeared in numerous outdoor publications, including Meateater, Wide Open Spaces, Outdoor News, All Outdoor, Miss Pursuit, Harvesting Nature, and more. Plete Postol is the author of the Women’s Perspectives column in the Trappers Post magazine. She is a member of the Association of Great Lakes Outdoor Writers, Outdoor Writers Association of America, and serves on the board of the New York State Outdoor Writers Association. She has a B.S. in Public Relations & Journalism from Utica University. She also serves as the New York Ambassador for Artemis Sportswomen, an initiative of the National Wildlife Federation that tasks ambassadors with conservation advocacy, mentorship, and organizing events for women to learn outdoor skills, such as hunting, fishing, and trapping.3 Articles


Abigail Helsdon has been hunting from a young age, reading outdoor magazines and taking in all she can about the outdoors. Now a writer herself, she wants to share what she has learned and her experiences with other hunters and anglers. Living in Ontario, she has had a diversity of opportunities on large and small game, plus excellent fishing. On the fishing side, Abigail spends time pursuing walleye, bass and perch on Lake Erie, but her fondest memories are of fishing in Newfoundland and for salmon in British Columbia. Born and raised in Alberta, Heather Wilson is one of Canada’s most accomplished female hunters and outdoor communicators. As an award-winning writer, television personality, seminar speaker, big game hunting guide, mom, wife, and nurse, her roster is full. Working in partnership with her husband Kevin, she’s had the good fortune to hunt all over the world for a wide range of big game. Together, they’ve co-hosted numerous outdoor productions including Canadian Outdoorsman TV online. Both are currently team members on Wild TV’s popular Bowzone Live. While Heather enjoys waterfowl hunting and pursuing any and all game with rifle and muzzleloader, she expresses a particular affinity for bowhunting big whitetails. Glenn Helgeland has been an outdoor magazine editor and writer since 1968, an outdoor book author since 1972, and an outdoor book publisher since 1983. He and his wife, Judy, began Target Communications Corp in 1980 and ran the company until 2011. Their company published 18 books on archery, bowhunting, black powder and wild game cooking, From 1985 through 2011 their company produced annual deer-and-turkey-hunting expos in Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Ohio and Tennessee. They sold the expos to the owners of Field & Stream/Outdoor Life in 2011. In retirement, they continued the company as Target Communications Outdoor Books. Glenn has been a bowhunting columnist for Fins & Feathers, American Hunter, North American Hunter and Bowhunting World. He has sold freelance articles to most of the national hunting and bowhunting magazines. Glenn has made two hunting trips to Africa. He has received awards from the Wisconsin Buck and Bear Club, Wisconsin Bowhunters Association, was the recipient of the Cabela's Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012, presented at the NSSF International Trade show in Las Vegas.
