Pete Rogers is a graduate from the University of South Carolina and earned a Masters in Divinity degree from Erskine Theological Seminary before being ordained. Over twenty-three years ago Pete began merging his love for writing with his love of the outdoors. Pete spends many days a year afield enjoying God’s creation while hunting, fishing, hiking, or camping. He has hunted and fished in 17 states and numerous Canadian provinces. Taking these and other experiences, Pete has published over 1,000 articles and 4,000 photographs in his career. His stories and photographs have earned over fifty awards in literary, photographic, and videography competitions. He is also the author of 6 books. Two of his books were awarded “Outdoor Book of the Year” in 2012 and 2019. Pete overcame a severe speech impediment to become a popular speaker for corporate events, and men’s conferences across the country. In October 2019, he founded and launched Christian Outdoors Podcast, where he uses this program to merge his passion for Christ with his passion for the outdoors. I began fishing at the age of two at our family cabin in Prairie Du Chien, WI, located on the mighty Mississippi River. In 2001, I fished my first bass tournament and took first place, from this point on I have been hooked on fishing bass tournaments. I continue to fish tournaments on the Mississippi River, but now also fish tournaments in Minnesota, as well as regional events in KY, TN, and OK. Besides fishing, I take pride in passing on my fishing knowledge on to others through articles, videos, and seminars.3 Articles
Abigail Helsdon has been hunting from a young age, reading outdoor magazines and taking in all she can about the outdoors. Now a writer herself, she wants to share what she has learned and her experiences with other hunters and anglers. Living in Ontario, she has had a diversity of opportunities on large and small game, plus excellent fishing. On the fishing side, Abigail spends time pursuing walleye, bass and perch on Lake Erie, but her fondest memories are of fishing in Newfoundland and for salmon in British Columbia. She also serves as the New York Ambassador for Artemis Sportswomen, an initiative of the National Wildlife Federation that tasks ambassadors with conservation advocacy, mentorship, and organizing events for women to learn outdoor skills, such as hunting, fishing, and trapping.3 Articles
Born and raised in Alberta, Heather Wilson is one of Canada’s most accomplished female hunters and outdoor communicators. As an award-winning writer, television personality, seminar speaker, big game hunting guide, mom, wife, and nurse, her roster is full. Working in partnership with her husband Kevin, she’s had the good fortune to hunt all over the world for a wide range of big game. Together, they’ve co-hosted numerous outdoor productions including Canadian Outdoorsman TV online. Both are currently team members on Wild TV’s popular Bowzone Live.
